The team will play three One -Day practice matches against the Sri Lanka Development Squad, with the first match set to begin today. This series of practice games is considered crucial for Nepal as they gear up for important upcoming tournaments. The match between Nepal and the Sri Lanka Development Squad is scheduled to start at 10:15 AM local time.
The second practice match will be held tomorrow, followed by the third and final match on Friday. Originally, the second match was scheduled for Thursday and the third match for Saturday, but the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced a change in the schedule on Monday.
After the Sri Lanka tour, the Nepal team will participate in a Tri-Nation One Day Series in Canada this September, where they will face the host team Canada and Oman. This series is an important part of Nepal’s journey in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.
Following the series in Canada, Nepal will head to the United States in October for another Tri-Nation Series. In this series, Nepal will compete against the USA and Scotland.
As of now, Nepal has played four matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 and is currently in seventh place with two points. The Netherlands leads the standings with 12 points from eight matches.
