SURKHET, Nepal — Rajan Rokaya of Tribhuvan Army Club claimed the title of the Xtreme Third Kakrebihar Half Marathon.
In the third edition of the annual competition, organized on the occasion of Olympic Day, Rokaya completed the 21-kilometer race in 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 31 seconds to secure first place. For his victory, Rokaya received a cash prize of NPR 150,000. In the event, sponsored by Xtreme Energy Drink, Binod Rokaya of Kalikot finished second, while Gopichandra Parki of the departmental team APF secured third place.
In the women's 10-kilometer race, Santoshi Shrestha of Dhading emerged victorious, completing the distance in 36 minutes. Purnalakshmi Neupane of Jumla finished second, while Srijana Pandey of Bajura placed third. Similarly, Krishna Rana of Surkhet won the women's 5-kilometer race, completing the course in 20 minutes. In the men's 5-kilometer event, Anil Shahi of Kalikot secured first place.
The winners were honored with trophies, medals, certificates, and cash prizes by Birendranagar Municipality Mayor Mohanmaya Dhakal.
