Nepal was defeated by India by 0-1 goal in the ongoing South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship in the Maldives. The Indian team managed to score a goal as Nepali team were unable to control the final ten minutes.

Sunil Chhetri, India's captain, scored in the 82nd minute. India has added three clear points for the first time in the tournament despite remaining undefeated.India has five points, while Nepal has six.

Captain Kiran Chemjong thwarted the shot of the Indian player who had more ball possession than Nepal since the beginning of the matchg. Sunil scored in the 82nd minute, taking advantage of a lack of coordination in the Nepali box. The same goal was enough to win for India against Nepal.

Nepal will face Bangladesh in the final match of the SAFF Championship's Round Robin League on 13th of October, 2021, Wednesday. The game will begin at 4:45 p.m. Nepal will advance to the final even if they draw with Bangladesh.
