Captain Khadka smashes Malaysia to give Visitor Nepal lead in T-20 series

Captain Paras Khadka scored not out 86 of 50 balls to give 1-0 lead for the visitors Nepal in two t20 series against host Malaysia, here at Kinrara Oval Cricket Ground, Kuala Lampur. Chasing the weak total of 129 runs, captain Khadka who opened the Gorkhali side in the second innings smashed 8 fours and five sixes.

Karan KC bowled for three wickets at death over which smashed the tail enders bat to set the easily reachable target. Winning the toss Malaysia batted first to make the low total of 128 runs, thanks to opener Virandeep Singh who scored 57 off 49 deliveries and captain Ahmed Faiz 45 off 39 runs in the middle over.

Eight Malaysian Batsman could not register double digit figure while five of them went back to pavilion without scoring the single run. Alongside Karan, Sandeep Lamichhane and Basanta Regmi shared two wickets each. Sompal Kami, who was sponsored by Kit Manufacturer Red Rock, also got a single wicket at very first over.

In the second innings Pradip Airee (8), Gyanendra Malla (7) and Rohit Kumar Poudel (5) could not hold partnership with captain. At the end Sharad Vesawkar gave company to lead for victory. Their not out 69 runs partnership finished the match. Sharad scored 16 of 20 balls hitting maiden six.
