Nepal plays against Singapore tomorrow in the second match under the ACC Under 19 Eastern Region Championship. Both the nations had seen off China in their first match of the tournament and have already secured their berth at the semifinal round.

The clash tomorrow will decide the group winners and runners up. The match which will be played at Kinrara Oval in Malaysia will begin at 7.45 am Nepal time. Nepal and Singapore are familiar sides in age groups and senior team as well. These two nations usually play against each other in almost all Asian tournaments.

Nepal has emerged victorious whenever these two nations have played against each other at Under-19 level. Nepal had secured a seven wicket win against Singapore in the Easter Region Championship of 2017. In addition to thatn, Nepal humbled Singapore by 217 runs when these two nations met at the Under-19 World Cup Qualifiers two months ago.

However, Nepal had failed to qualify for the World Cup back then because of rain. Nepal, having already qualified for the semifinal, will aim to secure a win against Singapore yet again. Team Nepal coach Binod Das has said that despite aiming for a victory,

Singapore would not be underestimated. Das added that the situation this time was different also because of new faces in the Singapore team. Skipper Rohit Poudel was also confident of a win against Singapore but added that the result depended on the performance on the match day. Singapore had secured an eight wicket win against China while Nepal had crushed China by 10 wickets. Two changes could be witnessed in team Nepal tomorrow. Having given chacnes to new players in the match against China, Nepal has prepared a strong squad for the match against Singapore.
