Nepal reach Semi Final In ACC Under-19 Eastern Region Cricket

Nepal has thrashed China by 10 wickets in the ACC Under-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament. Nepal won the toss and put China to bat first where they succumbed to a paltry total of 53 runs in 23.1 overs. Sagar Dhakal was the star for Nepal with ball as he claimed six wickets alone.

In his 9.1 overs, Sagar served three maidens and gave away just 19 runs. Likewise Tilak Rak Bhandari picked three wickets in his seven overs. Bhandari also bowled three maidens and conceded only 15 runs. Kamal Singh Aire picked one wicket for Nepal. For China, Guhawo Go and Ling Chen scored 13 equal runs. Other Chinese batsmen failed to shine and could not even score more than five runs. Nepal conceded seven runs in extras.

Nepal chased the total of 54 runs without losing a single wicket in five overs. Pawan Sharaf and Rit Gautam remained unbeaten in Nepal’s chase. Pawan hit two sixes and two fours in the fifth over which conceded 21 runs in total and ensured Nepal’s early win.

Pawan scored 46 runs while Rit added 10. China are now out of the tournament with two losses. Nepal and Singapore have progressed to the semifinal from this group. Winners and runners up of the group will be decided from the clash between Nepal and Singapore.
