Nepal Wins 4 Gold Medals in Asian Invitational Taekwondo Open Championship

Nepali taekwondo athletes showcased stellar performances at the Asian Invitational and 9th Manson Taekwondo Open Championship, winning a total of 4 gold medals.

Alongside this achievement, Nepal also secured one silver and one bronze medal, as confirmed by Bikram Khadgi, President of the Kathmandu District Taekwondo Association.  

The gold medalists include Chandra Rana Magar in the Men’s Poomsae (Above 30 category), Nandaraj Banskota in Hand Breaking, Bhim Bahadur Khadka in Senior Men’s Under-80kg, and Nirosha Rana in Women’s Under-14 Poomsae.  

Nirosha Rana also bagged a bronze medal in Junior Women’s Under-52kg, while Barsha Thapa claimed a silver medal in Senior Women’s Under-49kg category.  

The championship, held in Nanjing, China, also saw Nepal’s Asmita Khadka being recognized as the Best Referee of the tournament. Bikesh Bidari served as the head coach of the Nepali team.
