Goalkeeper Tekendra Thapa's contract with Jawalakhel Youth Club has been extended for the upcoming “A Division League” season.

Tekendra, who joined the club from Jawalakhel last season, has been given a one-year contract extension.

Tekendra was the captain and goalkeeper when Star City won the ANFA President's Cup in Nepalgunj.

He has been a member of Jawalakhel for the past four seasons and has been invited to play in Manang's league this season.

Jawalakhel, on the other hand, has kept Tekendra, who turned down Manang's offer, in a respectable amount.

Jawalakhel will keep Tekendra, who is also the team's vice-captain, as the primary goalkeeper because he is in good form.

Meanwhile, national footballer Suraj Jyu Thakuri will represent Jawalakhel in the A Division.

Despite playing in a top-flight match, he will remain with the same club this season.
