The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has taken the initiative to extend the contract of Abdullah Al Mutairi, the head coach of Nepal's national football team. As a result, ANFA has written to the Qatar Football Association formally requesting that CoachAl Mutairi's contract be extended.

ANFA has signed an agreement with Al Mutairi, which replaces the previous agreement with effect from the 1st of July. The Qatar Football Association, on the other hand, will have to approve the ANFA-Al Mutairi agreement.

Earlier, the one-year agreement was signed with effect from the month of April, but now it has been signed with effect from the 1st of July. The agreement has been signed by ANFA general secretary IndramanTuladhar and Coach Abdullah Al Mutairi.

According to ANFA spokesperson Kiran Rai, the agreement with Qatar Football has been extended until September 2022. Although ANFA has agreed to this, the Qatar FA has yet to make a final decision.

Abdullah, who arrived in Nepal three months ago as the head coach of the Nepali national football team with the support of the Qatar Football Association, has signed a new contract and will now coach the team in the Asian Cup's third round beginning in February 2022.

Since coach Abdullah took over the Nepali team, there have been some changes. Abdullah, who was Nepal's head coach for a year, has now terminated his contract and replaced it with a new one.

After the AFC and FIFA mandated that the national team has a pro-license coach, ANFA enlisted the help of the Qatar FA to bring him in. Since taking over the Nepali team, he has appeared in four international games. They have lost three games and have only won one. Abdullah is currently training 50 players at the camp in order to become the SAAF champion.

Nepal lost three out of four World Cup qualifiers, including the friendly match against Iraq, but the team's style of play was praised. Nepalese players are undergoing closed training in preparation for the SAAF Championship, which will take place in the last week of August and the first week of September.

Abdullah had worked as a coach in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia before coming to Nepal. He was also the captain of Kyrgyzstan's U-16 team.
