The Shaheed Smarak A Division League is set to begin on September 19, and clubs have already begun signing player contracts.

All of the clubs had except for the departmental ones, already released the players when there was no league for a year and a half. So, for the upcoming A Division League, everyone is starting to put together a team with a new contract.

The clubs are spending at least Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh per person for the national team players. This is an estimated amount. It is understood that up to Rs 3 lakh has been spent for foreign players.

Chyasal has spent Rs 125,000 for Kamal Shrestha, who recently left the national team. The majority of clubs have kept the players' remuneration a secret. Kamal, who is under contract for the entire season, previously represented Manang Marshyangdi in the previous league. Manang paid him Rs 90,000 per month.

Vishal Sunar, who is making his first appearance for the national team, has left Brigade Wise to join Manang, the most successful club in the A Division League. Deep Karki, the goalkeeper for Manang, has also left the club. Karki, the league's best goalkeeper last season, has signed with Himalayan Sherpa.

Dinesh Rajbanshi, a regular defender for the national team, has joined Manang from Chyasal Youth Club, while Gautam Shrestha, who made his national team debut against Iraq, will join Tribhuvan Army Football Club in the league. Since the AFC Cup qualifiers, Gautam, who played for Jawalakhel last season, has been playing for the Army.

Sunil Bal, likewise, has switched clubs this season. From Chyasal, he has been hired by Machhindra F.C.

Manish Dangi, who made his national team debut this year, will represent Machhindra in the league. This will be his first season in the A Division. Chhiring Gurung has also moved from Chyasal to Machhindra to play. Amir Shrestha, who previously played for the league Chyasal, will now represent Jawalakhel in the league.
