Dona Thapa, a 24-year-old midfielder with a long absence from domestic football, has signed a deal with the Three Star Club for the 2017 Memorial “A Division League”.

Dona has signed a one-year contract with the three-star team, which has previously signed national football team members Sanjok Rai, Ayush Ghalan, Ananta Tamang, and Nishan Khadka.

Dona played for Lalitpur City FC in the inaugural NSL in May and Bhagwati Club in the B Division League last season.

He had previously represented Manang Marshyangdi in the “A Division league”, but was unable to compete in the most recent edition owing to injuries. He will wear the number 10 jersey in Three Star Club.

He stated following the contract that it was his wish to have a long-term contract with Three Star. He stated that he could not refuse the club's offer and that they will be championship challengers because they have good players in the three stars.

Three Star has continued to update player contracts and agreements for the new season. Three Star recently signed defenders Ashok Khawas and Jiban Gurung, as well as Mikchen Tamang, to new contracts.
