The 500-day countdown to the 2022 FIFA World Cup has begun, as Qatar prepares to host more than a million football fans for the world's biggest sporting event.

The World Cup will kick off on the 21st of November and conclude on the 18th of December in Qatar, which is hosting the tournament for the first time in the Middle East and Arab countries.
