The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to host the upcoming SAFF Championship in Nepal.

ANFA also submitted a proposal accepting SAFF's invitation to host the SAFF Championship.

SAFF will be held in Nepal, as per the emergency meeting of ANFA's working committee.

The meeting also agreed to express gratitude to the government for its assistance in bringing SAFF to Nepal.

The government of incumbent Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has agreed to provide Rs 50 million for SAFF in Nepal on a verbal basis. As a result, ANFA has gained the confidence to conduct SAFF in Nepal.

Bangladesh's football association has withdrawn from the tournament, claiming that it is unable to do so. Similarly, India and Nepal are interested in hosting the tournament together, as are Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

However, if Nepal is given the competition, ANFA will be required to raise at least Rs 70 million. Furthermore, SAFF will be required to pay a royalty of one lakh dollars, and the participating team will be required to pay a preparation fee of twenty-five thousand dollars. Similarly, the match officials' allowance is expected to cost around 60,000 US dollars during the competition.

In addition, ANFA must spend money on the team's local management. Furthermore, the first-place winner will receive $50,000, while the second-place winner will receive $25,000.

Some ANFA officials are dissatisfied with the fact that SAFF will be hosted by ANFA with the help of government salaries and a few sponsors. ANFA will be successful if it can raise Rs. 70 million.

The tournament, which had been planned for the last week of August and the first week of September, will now take place during the FIFA window in October. Other countries, including India, have requested a back window, claiming that the competition cannot be held at the end of August. In which has been placed the possible window from October 3 to 13.

Despite Nepal's budget constraints, the national team has a chance to win the championship for the first time. At the same time, it's safe to say that ANFA's current leadership is proud of having organized the SAFF, even in the most trying of circumstances.

However, ANFA is prepared to hold the SAFF championship without the presence of spectators. According to sources, ANFA still owes various vendors Rs. 20 million to Rs. 30 million. The main question in such a situation is whether the next budget burden can be easily borne.

SAAF was last held in Nepal in 2013. Nepal did not hold another competition for about eight years after that.
