Nepal Coach Das Introduces Four New Faces For Upcoming ACC U19 Eastern Region

Head coach Binod Kumar Das announced the 14-member squad for upcoming Acc U-19 Eastern Region 2019 including four new faces. Four players who could not perform well in ICC U-19 world cup qualifier were dropped. Tournament is going to be held in Malaysia from July 2-9.
U-16 skipper Bishal Bikram KC, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Lokesh Bahadur Bam and Khadak Bahadur Bohara were included in final 14 member list that was announced Tuesday. Coach Das said that he is preparing the team who can play U-19 competitions for next two years. So, he excluded some players who is running on late teen. Sundeep Jora, already introduced on senior team is dropped. He could not perform at ICC under-19 World cup qualifier held on the same venue. Abhinash Basnet could not make on the final squad while Mohammad Aashif Sheikh is left on reserve list.

Eight teams are featuring in the tournament. They are divided into two groups. Nepal, Myanmar, Singapore and China are slotted in group A while Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Bhutan will compete in group B.
Group topper and runner-up will advance to the semifinal. The champion of this tournament will be qualified for ACC U-19 Asia Cup which is going to be held in Sri Lanka later this year.
Nepal will start the tournament against Myanmar.
