Dipendra Airee, who was injured during Prime Minister Cup will be ruled out of pitch for six weeks which means he will miss ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier being held in July 22 to 28.

All-rounder Airee, 20, played for Nepal police Club which eventually was crowned the championship trophy. He got injured while fielding in the final. Immediately he was taken to hospital. Nothing serious was seen in x-ray report. But, MRI report suggested him to rest for one and half month rest.

Being an important member of Nepal national cricket team, if he misses the qualifier, it may cause a big blow to Gorkhalis. The tournament will feature five teams which were qualified from sub-regional qualifier. Qatar and Kuwait booked the berth from western sub-region while three nations qualified from eastern region; host Singapore, Nepal and Malaysia.

Five teams will compete in round robin league format. League topper will book the place in global qualifier. Global qualifier will feature 14 teams including host UAE in October and November.

Six teams ranked from 11th to 16th in ICC T20 World Cup 2015, one host, two each from Africa and Americas and one each from East Asia-Pacific, Europe and Asia will race for qualification.
