Palesha Receives Grand Welcome at Airport

Kathmandu. Palesha Govardhan, the bronze medalist in taekwondo at the Paralympics, has returned to Nepal.
On Wednesday morning, Palesha was given a grand reception at Tribhuvan International Airport. The welcome included traditional Panchebaja music. Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary and Tankalal Ghising, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, along with other distinguished officials, were present at the airport to greet her.
Following her arrival, Palesha will be taken on a city tour. As the first Nepali athlete to win an Olympic medal, Palesha will be honored with a procession through various locations, including the airport, Gaushala, Old Baneshwor, Maitidevi, Dillibazar, Bagbazar, Badrakali, Sahidgate, and Tripureshwar Chowk, before reaching the premises of the National Sports Council, as informed by the Council.
