All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Chetan Ghimire as the assistant coach of the women's national football team.

Chetan has been selected as the assistant coach as they begin their preparations for the AFC Women's Asian Championship.

He will serve as the assistant coach of the women's team under head coach Gary Philips. Nepal is scheduled to play the Philippines and Hong Kong in Group F from September 13 to September 25 at home ground.

45 players were kept in the camp during the first phase. The group's top team will compete in the Asian Cup in India next year.

The Nepalese women's national team will gradually shrink. Chetan, who played professional football for Nepal Police Club, has made his first appearance as an assistant coach.

Chetan, who was named to the national team in 2009, was unable to play for an extended period of time due to injury. His playing career came to an end when he suffered a knee injury in a game against the Army in 2013.

His most important match was with the Northern Mariana Islands in the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers. He entered the field in the 64th minute of the game in which he wore the number 44 jersey.

The Nepali women's team will most likely play a friendly match with a foreign team before competing in this tournament, for which ANFA is in talks with various countries.

The location of the friendly match in preparation for the championship has yet to be determined. ANFA, on the other hand, intends to play a friendly match against a team that is stronger than itself.
