If an upcoming international competition is held, the Nepal Volleyball Association shall call 18 players, but training, for now, has been cancelled.

The Nepalese team's closed training session for the AVC Asian Women's Volleyball Championship has been postponed from Saturday until further notice after the host Philippines refused to allow the Nepalese team to compete due to cowardice.

If an upcoming international competition is held, the Nepal Volleyball Association shall call 18 players, but training, for now, has been cancelled.

The Philippines has decided not to allow both Nepal and India to participate in the red zone as the second wave of Corona continues in Nepal and India.

Jitendra Bahadur Chand, the Volleyball Association's General Secretary, stated that the training was halted by inviting 18 players to the camp while preparing for any future foreign tournament.

He also stated that there will be no international competition this year, but discussions are underway to hold a competition in between.

The women's team had trained for a month for the Asian Championship. Initially, 30 players were called for training but Nepal Police Club did not release three players.

Coach Jagdish Bhatt had selected 18 players in the second round. However, with less than a month until the tournament, Nepal will be unable to compete.
