China will send 431 athletes to the Tokyo Olympics, which begins a week from now, including 24 Olympic champions.
The figures were confirmed during the unveiling of the Chinese delegation in Beijing on Wednesday.
The delegation includes 298 female athletes and 133 male athletes, who will compete in 225 events which will begin on July 23 in Tokyo. 19 of the delegation's 24 Olympic champions won gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics, while 293 athletes will compete for the first time.
The delegation's youngest member, 14-year-old QuanHongchan, will compete in the women's diving event, while the Chinese equestrian team's 52-year-old Li Zhenqiang will be the oldest Chinese athlete to compete at the Games.
China will compete in 225 events across 30 games at the Tokyo Olympics. Special precautions have been taken for the competition starting from July 23.
