Sabitra Bhandari, a striker for Nepal National Women's Football and Nepal APF Club, has had successful knee surgery.

Sabitra underwent surgery on Thursday in Doha, Qatar, after suffering a serious injury to her right knee's anterior cruciate ligament.

It took 45 minutes to complete the procedure. Her physiotherapy will begin after her rest for 2-3 days.

She was admitted to the hospital this week for treatment after being in quarantine for about ten days.

She suffered a serious injury to her right knee while playing in the National Women's League last year, during a match against Nepal Police Club on February 15.
