The shooting and judo team for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics will leave for Japan tomorrow. Ramesh Silwal, who is safe from the mission, and ChaturanandaRajbaidh, executive director of the Nepal Olympic Committee, will accompany them.

Nepal has five athletes competing in four sports at the Tokyo Olympics. The swimming team is already training in Japan. Sonia Bhatt of judo and her coach Shurya Narayan Shrestha, as well as Kalpana Pariyar of shooting and her coach Asim Yadav, will depart on Friday.

Tulsi Thapa is one of the other office-bearers who will be leaving on Friday. Tej Bahadur Gurung, who was supposed to go to the Olympics this time, is reportedly not going.

Likewise, the second team of officials will leave for the Olympics on July 19. Olympic President Jeevan Ram Shrestha, General Secretary Nilendra Raj Shrestha, Ram Awale, and NSC members Sampanna Shrestha and Subash Shrestha are among those who have been named.

The Olympic athletics team will depart on July 25. Gaurika will compete in the women's 100m freestyle while Alex will compete in the men's 100m freestyle. Kalpana will compete in the women's 10m air rifle, while Sania will compete in the women's 48kg weight class and Saraswati will compete in the women's 100m.

The coaches are Shankar Karki of Swimming, Asim Yadav of Shooting, Suryanarayan Shrestha of Judo, and IndraKumariMalla of Athletics.

More than 15,000 athletes will compete in the Olympics from July 23 to August 8.

The medical team is led by Nabis Man Singh, and the Nepali volunteer is Rupesh Dangol. Prem Baral is a member of the team.
