The women's football team's head coach, Gary Phillips, has called up 45 players for the preliminary closed training for the AFC Women's Asian Cup-2022 selection.

Savitra, who is now receiving treatment for an injury in Doha, Qatar, has not been included in the team. The Nepali team will begin closed training on July 15, according to ANFA.

Nepal in Group F will play with the Philippines and Hong Kong. This group's selection game will take place in Nepal.

The AFC has picked September 13-25 as the commencement date. Hira Kumari Bhujel, who was injured during the league, has been reintegrated into the team.
